Morning Hero Recap

May 13, 20252 min read

Gents,

For those of you who were not able to join us this past Saturday, you truly missed an extraordinary event. Jarvis “The Morning Hero”, KILLED it as our guest speaker and dropped some very important knowledge which I will share with you all today. I am sure I speak for everyone who attended, my legs are completely sore from the intense team workout with Josh the Trainer! I walked away from this event feeling, motivated, hungry, and ready to conquer my mornings once again. Here is a summary of the crucial strategies that empower us, as men, to conquer our mornings, seize the day, and ultimately, achieve personal growth..

1. Serve Yourself First: Wake up early and prioritize self-care. Take time for meditation, silence, journaling, prayer, and stretching. Prepare your mind proactively instead of reacting to the demands of the day.

2. Unlock the Super Power of Productivity: Rising early grants you a unique superpower of productivity, enabling you to achieve more by lunchtime.

3. Purpose: Jarvis suggests three steps to finding your purpose: try new experiences, especially uncomfortable ones; meditate and spend time alone with yourself (it's harder than it sounds); and serve others, as it helps unlock your potential.

4. Seek Mentorship and Networking: Surround yourself with individuals who exceed your knowledge and success. Network relentlessly, aiming to be the least knowledgeable person in the room (a task that comes easy for me).

5. Eliminate Energy-Drainers: Minimize or cut out people from your life who drag you down or drain your energy. These individuals hinder self-development and promote a scarcity mindset. Even if they are family, love them from afar. It's not your responsibility to lift those who choose to stay down.

6. Embrace the Power of Reading: Several of our guests have emphasized the impact of reading. Jarvis transformed his life by reading one book—The Miracle Morning.

7. Daily Self-Reflection: Reflect on the previous day—what went well and what could have been better. Consider who you can serve today to make a positive impact.

8. Striving for Masculine Excellence: Jarvis defines masculine excellence as the obligation to lead and serve others.

In all WAKE UP EARLY!! I want to thank the Morning Hero for his insightful, powerful, and very entertaining session with The Association. We are all on a journey to becoming better men or what I call a “man of excellence”, tools like this will help us get there. I encourage those who did not show up, attend our next meeting. You will add tremendous value to your lives, get a workout, meet other high caliber men and better yourself.

On this journey with you.

Stay Excellent

Rolando Almanzar

Born in the Bronx and raised in Orlando, the author grew up in a financially struggling but loving household led by his mother and grandmother. In his teens, he lost direction—falling into bad influences, identity struggles, and substance abuse—largely due to the absence of a strong male role model. This changed in his mid-20s when he met a mentor who redefined masculinity and personal growth for him. By his 30s, though successful, he still longed for a deeper brotherhood that combined personal development, business, mindset, and fitness. To fill that gap, he co-founded The Association of Excellence, a community where men hold each other accountable and strive for greatness—without gimmicks.
